MACA Board Meeting Minutes

March 16, 2008

Hibernian Club, 19 Temple Street, Worcester, MA

The meeting was called to order at 5:03 PM. In attendance: Maryanne Reilly, Donna Alarie, Brian Lafferty, Brian Mottershead, George Mirijanian, Stephen Dann, Robert Messenger, Kenneth Ballou.

Robert Messenger presented the treasurer's report. Mr. Messenger called the board's attention to the fact that the Hurvitz Trust Fund had been losing money owing to investment in mortgage-backed securities and emphasized the need to form an investment committee.

MOTION 8-154: Alarie/Lafferty, accept the treasurer's report. Passed without dissent.

Robert Messenger presented the membership secretary's report. This report may be found at the end of these minutes as an appendix.

MOTION 8-155: Lafferty/Mirijanian, the board thanks all those who came to today's mailing preparation to stuff, address, and stamp envelopes for both the election mailing and the upcoming scholastic mailing. Passed without dissent.

MOTION 8-156: Lafferty/Messenger, the minutes of the February 24, 2008, meeting as distributed are approved. Passed without dissent.

MOTION 8-157: Ballou/Messenger, to adjourn. Passed without dissent.

The meeting adjourned at 5:09 PM.
