Entry Fee: $35 if paid online by 11:59pm 3/22/18, $50 at site
Registration - Onsite: 9AM - 10AM. ONLY CHECK OR CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR WALK-IN REGISTRATION.
Membership Requirement: USCF membership required for ALL sections.

Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Door Registration: 9:00 AM to 10:00AM. Entries after 10:00 AM will receive 1/2-point bye or be paired if possible w/ other late arrivals.
  • Round 1 at 10:30AM. Grades K-6 will finish by 3:00 PM.
  • Online registration preferred. Should be at site to confirm by 9:30 AM.
  • Please bring a clock if you have one. Boards will be provided. Food available on campus & nearby.
  • Team Competition: A school team’s total score is calculated by adding points from the top three players. Players must be from the same school. A team must have 3 or more players. Be sure to list your school on entry form.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
