  • Rocco R.Pasquale founded the Wachusett Chess Club, which acquired the name in February 1960.
  • The club was established before that date and met at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building at 10 Pleasant St. in Fitchburg.
  • Pasquale was also founder and first president of the Monadnock Chess Club in Keene, New Hampshire.
  • Chess correspondent for newspapers in North Central Mass. and Southern New Hampshire.
  • Organized the March 2, 1964 simultaneous exhibition by Bobby Fischer in Fitchburg.
