Byes: One 1/2 pt. bye OK for any round if requested before Rd. 2. No player may request a half-point bye after receiving a full-point bye.

Entry Fee: $39 in Open, $39 in U1800, $39 in U1400, $33 in U1200, if by 2/23. Online entries at advance rate available (at nhchess.org) until 6:00 PM on Friday 2/24. All EF: $6 more if at site. GMs/IMs free.

Under 1800 or UNR $$ 200 - 130 - 100, Under 1600 $110. No UNR may win over $130
Under 1400 or UNR $$ 160 - 110 - 90, No UNR may win over $90
Under 1200 or UNR $$ 120 - 80 - 65, Under 1000 $50, Unrated $45. No UNR may win over $65
Tournament Rules and Other Information

  • ONLINE ENTRIES WITH CREDIT CARD available through Square Market. See nhchess.org for details and link. Advance entries will be available online through Friday 2/24 at 6:00 PM. At-Door rates available thereafter until about 9:00 AM Saturday 2/25.
  • IMPORTANT! When checking out at Square Market, if player's name is different from the person paying, send a separate e-mail to halterrie@comcast.net with the player's name and USCF ID number.
  • MASKS optional but recommended.
  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
