Sections Information
Tournament Sections: Master section (Open to 1950+) 1st -- $400, 2nd -- $200; 3rd -- $100. Guaranteed
U2050 section (Open to 1650-2050) 1st -- $250, 2nd -- $150; 3rd -- $80. Guaranteed
U1750 section (Open to 1300-1750) 1st -- $250, 2nd -- $150; 3rd -- $80. (with 20 paid entries)
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Winner of the lower section from the previous Boston Elite tournament will be invited to play in the next upper section. No play-up allowed otherwise.
  • Free game analysis available by GM Leonid Kritz or GM Nadezhda Kosintseva
  • Withdraw: by 9/13, $1 PayPal process fee; after that, $5 process fee.
  • Online registration: by 10pm 09/15 EST.

  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
