Rounds Time: 10-1:00-3:30-6:00.
Byes: Optional 1/2 point bye available for any one round (except Rd. 4 in Championship section), if requested before round 2. No player may request a half-point bye after receiving a full-point bye.
Prize Info:  Top scoring NH resident in U2100 becomes NH Amateur Champion and gets name engraved on permanent plaque.

Tournament Sections: Championship (Under 2100 or Unrated) $$ 200 - 130 - 80; Trophies to top 2, Top Under 1900
Intermediate (Under 1750 or Unrated) $$ 150 - 100 - 70; Trophies to Top 2, Top Under 1500
Novice (Under 1350 or Unrated) Trophies to Top 3 and to Top 2 Under 1100

  • OPEN TO OUT OF STATE AS WELL AS NH PLAYERS! Online entry available with credit card at https://nh-chess-assn-dot-inc.square.site (or look for link at nhchess.org). Advance EF rate available until Friday 11/8 at 6:00 PM; at-door EF rates available thereaft
  • Credit card EF payments will also be accepted at site Saturday morning 11/9.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
