Registration - Onsite: 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM. Round 1 at 10:00 AM
Membership Requirement: USCF Membership Required in Rated Sections.
Sections Information
Tournament Sections: OPEN = $250 – $150 – $100 & Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Top U1800 Class Trophy
U1600 = $175 – $100 – $75 & Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Top U1400 – Class Trophy
U1200 = $100 Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Top U1000 – Class Trophy
U800 = $100 Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Top U600 – Class Trophy
Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Event will be at the New $31.5 Million "AIC" Academic Innovation Center at Bryant University
  • Plenty of Parking. Round 1 will start at 10:00 AM, runs continuous, except break for lunch
  • FREE to GM's, IM's, WGM's, WIM's; Others $35 - $45;
  • On-Site or Late Entry Fee the Day of Event is $10 more. Entries prior to 30 minutes before tournament receive a 1/2 bye, Tournament will not be delayed
  • Entry deducted from cash prizes for players with free entry
  • Anyone can always play "up" in a higher section
  • Chess Sets provided for Chess Tournament, Please bring a clock if you have one
  • The Ocean State Chess Association is a registered non-profit organization All profits are used to promote chess in the State of Rhode Island
