Submit Corss Tables to USCF
The form MACA provided has Maca as the recipient but you can of course change this should you desire. The form is available as:
  • Print the HTML format from here.
  • Word file for you to download and customize

NOTE: We request that organizers also obtain the USCF cross tables for their results via email and then submit them as well for posting.

Submit Corss Tables to MACA
The Maca Web team is prepared to accept data for posting to the site in a variety of formats.
  • USCF Verion Cross Table: The USCF will, upon request and payment email you the official cross table for any event. The request must include a number of specific items. Maca has posted a Word file and an HTML version of a typical request form. If you can wait the several weeks for the USCF to process your event and send you the cross table by email, simply forward the files to Maca. Do NOT edit the files or import them into anything before sending them to us. It takes us less than five minutes to "clean" up the files if they are in their original form as sent out from the USCF. Opening and saving the files can cause us to not be able to clean the files. We will notify you as soon as we've posted the cleaned version.

This is the recommended and preferred way to submit results for posting. We suggest you do this even if you do any of the other, following methods.

  • TD Version Cross Table: The preferred methods, in order, from first to last are:

    • HTML - All information properly formatted and ready for presentation
    • Text - All information properly formatted and ready for presentation
    • WinTD or Swiss-Sys tournament files to let us create the files for posting.
    • Word - any version
    • Excel - any version

Please be sure to include the following information, ideally included in the prepared files, and, if not in the files, in the accompanying email:

    Name of the Event
    Chief TD:
    Assistant TDs:
    Assistants
Any special thanks you would like included, e.g. assistants...

Tips for WinTD and Swiss-Sys:

  • WinTD places each event into a single file.
  • For SS every section has a file generated for each round.
  • For Swiss-Sys, you can either send us the entire set of files (zipped) or just the critical files which are designated with the suffix .SxC where the x will be the number of the last round. For example, if the last round was round 4 then the files we need are all the files that end with .S4C
  • All versions of both WinTD and Swiss-Sys, including the DOS versions will generate the files we need for posting. The up to date versions generate the standings in HTML. You will need to examine the options for printing out the standings to enable the information to be printed that is needed. If the version you are using does not produce HTML files, you may submit the Text files they generate instead.
  • What you should produce is the final standings for each section of the event:

    • Players Name
    • USCF ID
    • State
    • Pre-Rating
    • Post Rating (this is a very popular and strong request from the players)
    • Round by round results
    • Total score
  • The players should be sorted from 1st Place to Last
  • Please send only the standings and not the wall chart.
  • For examples of WinTD and Swiss-Sys files produced and posted, please look at the cross tables section of this site.

Results submitted should be sent to webmaster for forwarding to Chess Horizons Magazine editor and webmaster@masschess.org for the website.

If you have any questions or need assistance in preparing the files, please make a help request to the Web Team by emailing us at WebMaster@MassChess.org.
