Kaye Wins MACA Grand Prix

Michael Kaye has won the 2002-2003 MACA Grand Prix, after scoring 15 points over the course of the five Grand Prix tournaments. The tournaments were the 2002 Greater Boston Open, Pillsbury Memorial and Newton Open and the 2003 Massachusetts Game/60 Championship and Massachusetts Open. Grand Prix points were awarded for all points scored in these tournaments, other than requested half point byes, regardless of what section the games were in. Prizes were awarded to:

1st Michael Kaye 15 points $225
2nd Igor Foygel 13 points $175
3rd Alexander Ivanov 12½ points $125
4th-5th John Curdo, Edward Lafferty 11 points $87.50 each

    Prizes: $225 - $175 - $125 - $100 - $75
  Full point byes and wins via forfeit count as full points.
  Half-point byes count as zero.
  Mass.  Residency is not required for eligibility

For Organizers:
  To have your event become part of the Grand Prix program you must meet the following criteria:
    You must be a Maca affiliate
    Tournament must require MACA membership for Mass.  Residents
     Only regular rated/no blitz and no quick.
    $50 fee
