Cambridge Public Library Tournament - RESULTS

The Cambridge Public Library on Broadway, Cambridge sponsored an unrated

chess tournament for Grades K-3 and Grades 4-6 on July 28, 2001.

Grades K - 3

First Place: Charliam He of Somerville in the Grade K-3 section with a score of 4-0.

Second Place: Austin Mei of Andover (by tie break) with a score of 3-1 over

Third Place: Noah Kulick of Cambridge.

Grades 4 - 6

First Place: Scott Thomas of Natick with a score of 3 1/2-1/2.

Second Place: Alex Ramirez of Malden, Ma with a score of 3-1.

Third Place: Alex Lockwood of Lexington (by a tie break) with a score of 3-1.

The 34 Player event was organized by Lou Pingitore of Medford and Anthony Cortizas Jr. of Cambridge.

Gus Gosselin of Malden directed the event for a large cup of black coffee.
