Byes: O.K. all rounds, limit 1, must commit before round 2, no half point byes for players receiving full point byes.
Prize Info: $1,500 based on 80 paid entries ($20 off entries count half), 60% guaranteed. Unrated can't win more than $50 in U1450, $75 in U1750 or $100 in U1950., Unofficial uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated.

Entry Fee: $45 if mailed by 12/3 or online by 12/6, $55 at site. $20 discount to players in U1450 section rated under 1200 or unrated. GMs and IMs free.

  • Bring chess set and clock if possible.

  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
