Medals to players with three or more points not winning a trophy., Top three finishers in the Grades 9-12 Section qualify for Spiegel Cup Finals - now fully invitational

Tournament Rules and Other Information
  • Onsite registration ends at 8:45 a.m. sharp. Late entrants will receive a zero point bye and be paired for round 2.
  • All players must enter the section based on their current grade in school. No "playing up."
  • 9-12, 6-8 and K-1 sections: Please send email to info@masschess.org with school grade.
  • Proof of current USCF and MACA membership is required for on-site entries. You can join on-site when you register.
  • Phone or e-mail entries are not accepted.
  • Bring your own chess set, board, and chess clock (if you have one). Equipment will not be provided.
  • No outside food is allowed in the hotel.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
