Entry Fee: Early-Bird by 6/14 - $30 for U1200/U800; $35 for Open/U1700. Regular 6/15-6/19 +$5 more. Late EF $10 more the day of event
Registration - Onsite: 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM. Round 1 at 10:00 AM
Membership Requirement: USCF Membership Required. FREE USCF MEMBERSHIP for Players in 1st TIME Rated Tournament

Tournament Sections: OPEN SECTION = $250 – $100, Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Biggest Upset Trophy
U1600 SECTION = $100 – $50, Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Top U1400 Trophy
U1200 = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Top U1000 Trophy. Medals
U800 = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Top U600 Trophy, Medals

  • 1st-TIME STUDENT DISCOUNT (Age 3-18) = $44 Includes FREE $24 USCF “YOUTH” Membership. Discounts do not apply on 6/21 day of the event
  • 1st-TIME YOUNG ADULT DISCOUNT (Age 19-24) = $53 Includes FREE $33 USCF Membership. Discounts do not apply on 6/21 day of the event
  • 1st-TIME ADULT DISCOUNT (Age 25-64) = $74 Includes FREE $54 USCF Membership. Discounts do not apply on 6/21 day of the event
  • 1st-TIME SENIOR DISCOUNT (Age 65-99) = $68 Includes FREE $48 USCF Membership. Discounts do not apply on 6/21 day of the event
  • Early-Bird $30/$35 until 6/14. Regular $35/$40 from 6/15-6/19. On-site & Late Entry Day of Event, EF is $10 Extra = $45/$50. Late Entries may receive 1/2 pt bye
  • Round 1 will start at 10:00 AM, will run continuous. Lunch break - restaurants very close by. U800/U1200 will Finish around 3:00 PM, Others 3:30-4:00 PM
  • Air-Conditioning. Chess Sets & Clocks provided for Tournament, Anyone can always play "up" in a higher section.

  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
