- Complimentary snacks of cookies, sweets, etc. to all participants.
- Among the chess magazine prizes are rare copies of "Chess Horizons,"
- "Chess Life," "New In Chess," British Chess" (bound volumes), and others.
- Among the "Chess Chat" DVDs are episodes about chess in Massachusetts,
- New England, USA, and the world, and also tributes to great chess players of the past.
- Lots of free parking in front of the McKay Complex at Fitchburg State University.
- Play will be held in rooms 163 and 165 of the McKay Complex.
- Playing site is handicap accessible.
- Lots of playing space for each board. One board per 5-foot table.
- Excellent lighting in each playing room. Comfortable chairs.
- MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
- Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
- MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
