Byes: Up to 2 half point byes. For a last round bye, must commit before start of round 2
Prize Info: $100 - $75, Top U1500 $50, Top U1000 $25. Medal and a premium chess set from World Chess for the top 1 unrated player. Prizes for the players in costumes. ,

Membership Requirement: No requirements. However, MACA and USCF sponsor and funds the event, and your membership would help them provide more programs like this in the future.

  • Event is open for out-of-state players.
  • The event is part of Boston Queens Series. Places 1 - 10 earn series points: 10 points for 1st place, 9 points for 2nd, 8 points for 3rd, and so on, to 1 point for 10th. Those who score the most points throughout all 4 events will get prizes.
  • Chess sets and clocks are provided.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
