- GM's, IM's, WGM's, WIM's FREE - Email Organizer; EF may be deducted from prizes. Electronic DGT Boards for Top 4 boards
- Event approved as the Official New England Blitz Championship Tournament. Blitz Rating will be used, If no blitz rating then regular rating used for pairings
- Winners of "Open Championship" & "Amateur U1700 Champion" Sections will receive New England Blitz Champion Titles
- USCF December Rating Supplement and USCF Blitz Rules will be used for the event
- Only Blitz Rating will be affected (Not Regular/Quick Rating) – Unrated Players with USCF membership can play
- Byes must be requested in advance. No more than two 1/2 pt. (1 pt.) byes allowed. No 1/2 pt. byes allowed in last 2 rounds
- Event will start promptly and not be delayed. Registered players who arrive late may receive a forfeit for rounds 1 or 2
- Plenty of free parking available. Chess sets and clocks will be provided. Tournament runs continuously, finished by 3:00 - 3:30 pm

- MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
