Submitting Events for posting on the Maca site.

As of June of 2002, events that appear on the Maca site are generated from Maca's Future Events database.  In the near future, Maca plans to allow registered organizers to maintain their event listings themselves by entering and editing their events directly in the database.  In the meantime, organizers must submit their event information in a clear and organized manner to the web team for entry into the Database.
If an event is already in the database that is very close or even identical to the event you wish to have posted, you can simply tell us to copy the existing event and make specific changes, such as the dates, entry cut-offs, etc.
To submit a new event, tell us the essentials.  You do not have to create a flyer to do this but a flyer, if you have one would tell us what we need to know.
Take a look at existing events to see the kind of information essential for advertising an event.   Below is a link to a template file that you might use to send to us.  It is based on a scholastic event that was posted on the Maca site. You can simply replace the text in the flyer with your own information and send it to us.  We in turn will copy and paste the information from the various sections on the flyer into the database.    Your listing will then be available from the Maca site and you can in turn, refer people to the site to print out the flyer.   When you click on the link for the template flyer, you will most likely be prompted to open or save it.  You want to select save so that it will be saved on your computer.  If it opens automatically, save it immediately to your computer before making any changes.  Here is the Template Flyer
