Time Control: 6 double rounds Swiss System (1 rd accelerated) G/3 + 2
Rounds Time: 1:30 pm lecture by WIM Kateryna Odnorozhenko 2:30 pm free pizza 3:00 pm blitz 5:30 pm award ceremony and cake
Byes: Up to four half point byes. For a last round bye, must commit before start of round 2
Prize Info: $100 - $75, Top U1700 $50, Top U1200 $25.

Registration Information
Entry Fee: $15; Free entry to GMs, IMs, WGMs, WIMs, and players with fewer than 50 USCF rated games (in any format)
Registration - Onsite: 1:00 pm - 1:20pm cash or checks only
Membership Requirement: No requirements. However, USCF and MACA sponsor and fund the event, and your membership would help them provide more programs like this in the future.

  • Online registration: machess.org/WomensChess
  • Chess sets and clocks are provided.
  • Event is open for out-of-state players.
  • The event is a part of Queens blitz series, and places 1 - 10 earn series points: 10 points for 1st place, 9 points for 2nd… 1 point for 10th. Those who score the most points throughout all 6 events will get prizes.

  • MACA provides tournament listing for all as a service to the chess community. For question, comments, or dispute regarding events that are not organized by MACA, please contact the tournament organizer directly.
  • Remember that each player is responsible for bringing and setting up their clock. Please refer to the Metrowest Chess Club Digital Clock Guide for instructions on how to set digital clocks.
  • MACA does not recommend but allows US Chess approved electronic scorekeeping devices. Please note that some national tournaments held by US Chess ban electronic scorekeeping, so be sure to know how to keep score without aid of electronics.
