I'm an experienced tournament player (14 Years) and teacher (10 years).   I have a masters degree in education from Harvard University.   I've taught chess with the US Chess Center in Washington, DC and have created several after school and in school chess programs in DC, Ohio and Boston.   I was a program officer for a small nonprofit that taught chess in hospitals,  libraries and schools throughout the Massachusetts area.  I've taught chess to both children and adults with a wide range of abilities. I create lessons around the individual needs of the student.  Students will come away with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of chess as well as how to apply some of the skill sets learned from the game to their own life. I love playing and teaching this dynamic game.   I'm currently the Vice President of the Massachusetts Chess Association.  Please feel free to contact me by email or by phone to discuss your interest.   I look forward to hearing from you.
