This course is designed for students who already know the basics of how to play chess.  Principles of tactics and strategy will be taught to prepare students for more rigorous competition. The topics include opening traps, and strategy, tactical puzzles and building simple strategical plans. Playing chess online vs other kids. Bughouse (team chess).


This class is for kids who are already playing in rated tournaments or are ready to play. The focus will be on building an opening repertoire, studying master games, and learning from ones' mistakes. We will have a detailed look at certain typical endgame and middlegame positions. One of the main focuses will be learning how to improve calculation and visualization of the board and improve general level of understanding.


Players who graduate intermediate levels, require personalized  attention, and only offered in small groups or private lessons.

Price: Advanced Beginners starts at $125.00/  month.  Intermediate starts at $150.00 / month

Session:  September 4th 2018 to May 30th 2019
